Correction: The original posting of this news article implied the entire length of the trail from Birregurra to Forrest is open. This in fact is not the case. The opening was o the first 5 Kms from Forrest to the Forrest - Birregurra Rd. just before Barwon Downs.
The Big Day is at hand!
The Official Opening of the Birregurra to Forrest "Tiger" Rail Trail is scheduled for Sunday 12th June and to be held in conjunction with the Forrest Soup Fest.
Time – 11.30 am
Place - Forrest Community Hall
Invited guests include:
- Terry Mulder – State Liberal Member
- Brian Crook - Mayor Colac Otway Shire
So, come on down with your walking boots, bike or equine friend and try out one of Victoria's newest rail trails. We hope to see you there!
