Bike riders are the biggest class of visitors to rail trails by far so obviously it is important to let riders know of any events being held on rail trails.
Railtrails Australia is happy to put major events on this news list and in our quarterley newsletter. Bicycle Victoria’s website can now be used for publicising any sort of ride event as described below in a release from Ben Zipper of BV
Finding other cyclists to ride with has never been easier – with the launch of the new Bicycle Victoria Rides Calendar: http://www.bv.com.au/find.php
As well as searching for rides organised by other cycling clubs, you can also add your own rail trail rides – all free of course!
There’s no need to register or anything: just visit http://www.bv.com.au/find.php and start adding your rides right now. With over 70,000 visitors a month to www.bv.com.au, it’s the best way to promote your rides to thousands of other cyclists.
Once your rides are added, users can sort them by date, difficulty, distance, region or riding surface.
