Castlemaine Maryborough Rail Trail – your feedback is needed
The community have the opportunity to provide direct feedback to assist the Mt Alexander Shire Council in partnership with Central Goldfields Shire Council with its ongoing information gathering about the feasibility of a shared rail trail between Castlemaine and Maryborough. The Castlemaine Maryborough Rail Trail Inc Community Group are continuing their involvement by also partnering with the two councils to determine the feasibility of the proposed 55km trail.
A survey is now open and can be found HERE
The survey aims to evaluate the business case for the trail and in doing so gain information about community attitudes and expectations. It will also assist in planning the trail alignment, design and possible management model.
The survey will be available until Friday, 23 June, 2023.
