Planning for the new Somerville to Baxter shared path as part of the Peninsula Trail project is progressing well.
The Baxter-Somerville rail-side path is significant as it means visitors will be able to walk/ride to the start of the Mornington rail-side path from Frankston. The Moorooduc-Mornington rail-side path is intended to be the next stage of the Peninsula Trail project.
Mornington Peninsula Shire is hosting a Community Information Session during the school holidays (Wednesday 12 April, 12-3pm at the Somerville Recreational Centre) to help keep interested people informed about the project.
This is open to all members of community to attend, and there will also be some fun activities for the kids too!
It is planned as a drop-in session and there is no scheduled formal presentation or bookings required – so please pop in at any time that might suit you within the 3-hour duration and chat to their staff.
