Grand Ridge Rail Trail Committee of Management (CoM) has installed brand new information signs along the 13km rail trail at Mirboo North, Darlimurla and Boolarra in Gippsland, Victoria. These new signs provide information about the trail including how to interact safely with other users.
This project was made possible with the assistance of Community Grants funding from Rail Trails Australia (RTA) and expert help from Jessica Greaves Graphic Design and Young Signs, Morwell.
According to the CoM, working with local graphic designer Jessica for the sign elements ensured the rail trail signs have a visually attractive, functional design which is easy to read.
“We are extremely happy with how the signs have turned out and are already receiving positive feedback from the community,” reported Grand Ridge Rail Trail CoM treasurer Dani Calafiore. The information is also being used as part of the rail trail’s website update.
Congratulations to Grand Ridge Rail Trail for their hard work in getting this project funded and completed!
The completion of this project brings to an end the 2025-2026 Community Grants program, however RTA’s 2026-2027 even bigger program is now open for applications! Rail trail groups can apply here.
