Register for news updatesThe Lockington Kotta Rail Trail Committee is working hard to prepare the 8km rail trail for the Kotta Locky Fun Run on Sunday, 11 October, with all proceeds going towards improving the condition and features of the trail.
The trail will also have an informal open on the day following the conclusion of the run.
The fun run will commence at 10am, with registrations from 8.30am. It’s open for runners and walkers and there will be a shorter 350 metre dash for children at the Kotta end of the trail. The 8km fun run will leave from the Lockington Consolidated School and finish at Kotta Station. The track surface is a mixture of light rock, clays and grassy sections.
Victoria’s Lockington Kotta Rail Trail would not have happened without the vision and dedicated contribution of the committee members and many other members of the community working behind the scenes attending working bees and clearing sections of the trail. This is a way everyone can contribute to its improvement.
Entry is $20/$10 adult/kids including BBQ lunch.
The fun run coincides with the celebration of the 100th Anniversary of the Kotta Hall, with events happening at the Kotta Hall on the Friday evening and Saturday.
