Register for news updatesAre you keen to support the growth of rail trails around Australia? With positive news coming out of Tasmania and New South Wales, now is a great time to join Rail Trail Australia’s (RTA’s) committee and help improve the trails you love.
RTA’s next AGM will be held on 6 November 2026, and there is at least one position vacant on the committee.
To align with the recently-updated Strategic Plan, RTA is looking to increase the committee’s diversity of location and gender of its members. Currently RTA’s committee members are all from NSW and Victoria, and predominantly male. We welcome a change to this current lack of equal representation.
Being an RTA committee member gives you many opportunities to work on the promotion of rail trails. The implementation of the latest Strategic Plan will also see us making significant improvements in our structure. We welcome your participation in these next exciting steps.
RTA’s small, friendly and supportive committee meets monthly on alternating days, and is supported by an admin officer, communications officer and newly-recruited executive officer.
To nominate, or discuss doing so, please send an email to se*******@************rg.au. Nominations must be received 7 days before the AGM.
