‘Rutherglen Loops’, a project that combines sealed paths, concrete shared paths, and carefully planned on-road links to create a comprehensive network, has been officially opened by Victorian Senator Lisa Darmanin and Indigo Shire Council Mayor Sophie Price.
The $5.13M Victorian trail was fully funded by the Australian Government and delivers 48 km of connected trails linking Rutherglen, Wahgunyah, Lake Moodemere, and the region’s celebrated wineries.
The Rutherglen Loops network incorporates the Murray to Mountains Rail Trail section from Rutherglen to Wahgunyah in its 23 km ‘Wine Loop’. For more information including a map, see the web page here: www.explorerutherglen.com.au/ride/rutherglen-loops/.
