Today (1 Dec) I received an invitation to attend a planning meeting of the Central Goldfields Shire Council on 10 Dec, in person or on line, as I had made a submission regarding the proposed broiler farm. I have elected to attend on line. Anyone else received the same?

There is a lot of love out there for this project. The money needed is not going to come from local councils, be assured of that! The committee will be working hard on sourcing funds from government, industry, philanthropic groups and so on. The next 6 months or so will be very busy.

This is a great project for cyclists, rail trail entusiasts and the community as a whole.
Another part of the growing, wider rail trail network.
This trail traverses a varying terrain, several waterways and provides links to some beautiful towns and villages.
When completed, the trail will encourage more people to engage in physical activity, make new friends, be closer to their environment and have an increased awareness of the world beyond their own backyards.
I look forward to riding the full length opf the completed trail.
Well done to the CMRT team.

I don’t think this has a hope in hell of getting completed. The community of Maryborough are apathetic at best, the council lack interest in providing for their community and little money to support it.

I hope you are wrong. I guess the council and politicians in general respond when the public tell them what they want. Perhaps an email to your local state and federal MP's and an email to the council is the thing that is in your control. Encourage your friends to do the same.
