Register for news updatesSupport the Northern Rivers Rail Trail to go through Byron Shire
The Northern Rivers has one of the best climates and scenery. The number of people using the Northern Rivers Rail Trail have far exceeded what was expected in the first four months since the March opening. These numbers should have the neighboring shire of Byron re-evaluate its thinking about the return of a train within the shire and to start the process of building the Byron section of the rail trail.
The Casino to Bentley section is presently under construction by the Richmond Valley Council and due to open in January 2024, followed later in that year by the opening of the Bentley to Lismore section.

The section Murwillumbah to Crabbe Creek is the best trail by far you could ever want it has everything
Thanks so much for all your hard work in getting the first stage of this fantastic trail completed. It was a joy to ride through such interesting terrain. We hope to return to ride more sections and to see it in its entirety.
