Western Australia’s Department of Transport has released the Avon Central Coast 2050 Cycling Strategy, setting the stage for a new era of cycle tourism in the Avon Valley.
The strategy proposes 3 new rail trails:
With short distances between towns and mostly flat terrain along the Avon River, the region is ideal for cycling loops centred on Toodyay, Northam, York and Beverley, encouraging visitors to explore scenic landscapes, local food and wine, and historic sites.
