Upgrades to Kalamunda Railway Heritage Trail

The City of Kalamunda in Western Australia has recently completed upgrades to the southern part of the Kalamunda Railway Heritage Trail.

The City of Kalamunda in Western Australia has recently completed upgrades to the southern part of the Kalamunda Railway Heritage Trail.

The upgrades have involved the formalisation of parallel walking and mountain biking trails along a 11.8 kilometre stretch between Walliston and Pickering Brook. Previously this section of the rail trail was difficult to navigate with limited wayfinding signage or information. A Donkey Orchid symbol has been used to mark the trail and distinguish it from other trails that intersect along the route.
