Work has started in Wangaratta on the Murray to Mountains Rail Trail. When complete, this trail will total 94 km, linking Wangaratta and Beechworth with the existing trail from Myrtleford to Bright.
Work on the Moe to Yallourn Railtrail is now complete through to Sulivans’ Track.
South Gippsland Shire will prepare and application for Victorian Government funding to pay for development and construction of the Great Southern Rail Trail from Koonwarra to Foster and on the entrance of Wilson’s Promitory National Park.
The railtrail bridge at Bonnie Doon was officially opened recently by Victorian Minister for Roads and Ports, Geoff Cragie.
