Oxfam are conducting a 100 km walking/jogging event in Victoria and part of the course is a rail trail.

The Victorian Government supports Railtrails Australia through the Victorian Small Grants Scheme.

The trail descriptions section of the website has been revised and expanded. Trail descriptions now cover all states; many trails include maps.

Updates to the book are now available on the website, as is the Tasmanian "website links" page.

Moyne Shire Council is seeking submissions on the proposal by thursday 17th February 2005.

The Tallangatta section of the High Country Rail Trail will be officially opened on Sunday 23 May 2004.

Grants of up to $30,000 are available for Victorian Rail Trail Committees of Management appointed under the Crown Land (Reserves) Act. - 30th January 2005 deadline.

The Rail Trail will eventually run from Colac to Beech Forest and later to Crowes on the Great Ocean Road.
