Rail Trails Australia (RTA) is committed to providing you with the best possible customer service experience and takes the protection and privacy of your personal information seriously. RTA collects certain information to enable us to achieve our goals and to support our members, subscribers and rail trail organisations. We respect an individual’s right to keep their personal information private and are committed to the responsible handling of all information we collect, in compliance with the Privacy Act 1988, as amended, and its principles.

COLLECTING AND USING PERSONAL INFORMATION

INFORMATION PROVIDED BY YOU

When joining RTA, completing surveys or using the website we collect personal information, provided by you, which may include your name, address, email address, username and password.

With your permission, we may send you emails about new products, special offers, organisation updates and other notices. We will ask you directly for your expressed consent. To withdraw consent or be removed from our database, you will be able to do so directly or by contacting us at admin@railtrails.org.au

When you provide us with personal information to complete a transaction, verify your credit card, place an order, arrange for a delivery or return a purchase, we imply that you consent to our collecting it and using it for that specific reason only. INFORMATION COLLECTED AUTOMATICALLY VIA OUR WEBSITE

From time to time, we may use customer information for new, unanticipated uses which have not been previously disclosed in our privacy notice.
