Cycle Dindi is returning to the scenic Great Victorian Rail Trail (GVRT) on Saturday, 17 April 2021. Organised by the Rotary Clubs of Yea and Alexandra, it’s a fully supported, family friendly bike ride along the GVRT with a variety of starting locations and distances. Cycle Dindi is a joint fundraiser by the Rotary Clubs of Yea and Alexandra for the support of Rotary youth programs in the area.
Cyclists have three start options converging on Cathkin to relax and enjoy a BBQ lunch and coffee by a coffee van beside the picturesque Goulburn River. Distance depends on which start option you choose:
• Alexandra to Cathkin ‒ 26kms return
• Yea to Cathkin – 42kms return
• Bonnie Doon to Cathkin – 80kms return.
For those riding from Yea to Cathkin, price includes the added attraction of a Devonshire Tea in a shearing shed followed by a sheep dog demonstration, plus riding through the iconic Cheviot Tunnel, the only tunnel on a Victorian rail trail.
When: Saturday April 17
Cost: Depends on which start option (see Flyer)
Booking is essential: Online at Trybooking.com (Cycledindi21)
Entry forms are available at Rotary websites www.yearotary.org.au or www.rotaryalexandra.org.au and follow CycleDindi 21 updates on Facebook.
