Hydro Tasmania has closed the power station. Doubt lingers as to what will happen to the Tramway Trail between the station and nearby Lake Margaret and the museum at the power station.

We have upgraded the rail trails website with a new design and some extra features. You can now order rail trail guidebooks online ... and to encourage you take have a look at the new design we have discounted our Tasmanian guide book by 50%.

Two further stages of this rail trail have been opened bringing the total length to 59km.

The Riverina Regional Development Board has adopted the recommendations of a feasibility study to proceed with the rail trail.
