You and your friends are invited to Blackbutt and the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail during the Bloomin’ Beautiful Blackbutt Festival. This year the Festival presents a program full of free rail trail inspired activities and events.
10am-3pm | BVRT Expo. Information stalls and displays at the BVRT pavilion. Woodworking demonstrations with the Blackbutt Woodworkers |
10am-10.30am | Waler horse agility and Waler horse heritage riding demonstration with members of the Waler Horse Society of Australia |
10.30am-12pm | Animal Instincts – Equine and canine tricks and training with Hayley Chambers |
12.15pm-1.15pm | Equine Health with Blackbutt Vet, Dr William Roughan |
1.30pm-2.30pm | Talking saddles with Shane Nash, Nash Custom Saddles |
2.30pm-5pm | Natural horsemanship demonstration with Ken Anderson |
8.30am | Free sausage sizzle breakfast |
9am | Official opening of the Nukku School |
9.30am-12.30pm | Australian Trail Horse Riders Association 25 km trail ride on the BVRT to Gilla |
10am-3pm | Free horse-drawn wagon rides on the BVRT every half hour! |
3.30pm | Bird watching walk along the BVRT guided by Valdamay Jones from Birds Queensland |
Don’t forget to enter your photo of the BVRT into the ‘Sensored’ photographic competition or your sculpture into the All Trails Lead to Blackbutt Sculpture Award.
