Brisbane Valley and Boyne Burnett Inland rail trails share information
The Committee and members of the Boyne Burnett Inland Rail Trail Inc. (in central Queensland) travelled south to visit the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail over several days in October.
Many walked sections of the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail, while some cycled the trail to get ideas for the Boyne Burnett Inland Rail Trail (BBIRT) which is planned to open in 2021.
On Friday 7 October a meeting was held between the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail Ambassadors, BBIRT and Rail Trails Australia.
Many questions were raised during the morning including the benefits to local business, activities held along rail trails and infrastructure along the trail, and will assist in the design process currently underway.
