Their efforts were recognised by QORF at a presentation ceremony in October 2006.
Descripiton of the award includes
“This 23 km section of unused railway line has recently been developed to cater for a range of outdoor activities.
The Trail has been developed following negotiations and consultations involving several government agencies, councils and community groups to transform this corridor for multi purpose outdoor recreation use including walking, horse riding and mountain biking.”
