This bridge been been long needed as the Lilydale end currently finishes at a steep bank right on the Maroondah Highway. When completed the bridge will extend the trail all the way to the Lilydale railway station making starting at Lilydale a far safer and enjoyable experience.
It will make one of Australia’s most popular rail trails even more accessible and Railtrails Australia congratulates all involved in getting to this stage.
