Some great demonstrations of how rail trails are benefitting regional Australia have recently feature on national programs.
Two weeks ago ABC’s Back Roads South Burnett Rail Trail visited the Kilkivan to Kingaroy Rail Trail in south east Queensland. Former news presenter Lisa Millar found wonderful examples of how bike riding, walking, running and horse riding on the rail trail is valued by the towns along this rail trail. Possibly the best show ever about the benefits of rail trails so don’t miss this. And share it with those responsible for developing rail trails.
And last week SBS’s Great Australian Walks (Season 2 Episode 10 – The Riesling Trail was based on South Australia’s popular Riesling Rail Trail. This show focuses more on what is around the rail trail.
