Gympie Council to spend $230K on rail trail resurfacing
Gympie Council are going to spend $230K to fix the rough surface of their section of the Kilkivan to Kingaroy rail trail.
This is a “good news” story and was reported in a daily newspaper in South Burnett. You can read the full story here.
Unfortunately this funding does not extend to the problematic Wide Bay Creek crossing and Gympie Council may well take another year to solve this after they upgrade the trail’s surface.
Coincidentally “Puff n Puffin” published a blog about their ride on the rail trail this month.
