The Blackbutt to Linville section of the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail in SE Queensland – officially named the Blackbutt Range Rail Trail/Corridor – was officially opened on Saturday 3 June 2006 with a well attended ceremony at Linville and the official cutting of the ribbon.
A dozen or so riders cycled from Linville to a free BBQ and presentation of certificates in Blackbutt, some returning. Best time for the first leg was about 1.25 hours. There were also horse riders and several walkers for the 23km.
