Mary to the Bay Rail Trail extension opens (QLD)
The Fraser Coast Regional Council has completed an extension of this well used rail trail that brings it much closer to the beach and Pier at Hervey Bay.
Council hope to provide funding for the final section of the rail trail towards the Pier in time for its 2017 centenary of the pier.
Council are also trying to obtain funding for the continuation of the rail trail back towards Marybourgh.
The Mary to the Bay would be one of the busiest rail trails in Queensland and is suitable for user of all ages and all forms on non motorised scooters ,wheelchairs , and bikes.
