Rail Trails Australia is pleased to have Helen Dominish from the Uncool Cycling Club speaking at our Annual General Meeting on Friday 16th November 2018.
The meeting will commence at 6.30 pm at the historic North Carlton Community Centre, in the former North Carlton Railway Station building in Solly Avenue, North Carlton, Melbourne.
Helen is enthusiastic proponent of rail trails and has had a significant role in developing a wonderful trail cycling fraternity in South Australia (The Uncool Cycling Club). She has recently returned from a protracted trip around Australia, using and appraising many of our rail trails in all of the states. I am sure members will be very interested to hear about her journey, her group leadership and future contribution to recreational and cycle-tourism in Australia.
It will also be worthwhile to come along and meet fellow rail trail supporters.
All rail trail supporters are welcome. Please let our secretary Frank Kinnersly (fk*********@ra********.au) know if you are attending to ensure we have enough seats.
In conjunction with the AGM, elections will take place for all positions on the Rail Trails Australia committee. New members to the committee are always welcome. If you would like to join the committee and help guide our work please contact the Secretary, Frank Kinnersley, by 4pm 14th November. He will provide a nomination form and explain the process (fk*********@ra********.au). Please note that nominees must be financial members at both the time of nomination and at time of the AGM. RTA apologises to its members for the late delivery of the magazine which has the official notice for the AGM.
We look forward to seeing a gathering of rail trail supporters on Friday 16th.
