Next year’s Rail Trail Symposium will be held as part of the 5th Australian Cycle Tourism Conference on 2-3 Feb 2012 at the Ann Harding Conference Centre, University of Canberra. The symposium will take place on the second day, February 3.
The Australian Cycle Tourism Conference
The 2 day Australian Cycle Tourism Conference on Thursday and Friday will address topics related to Cycle Tourism both in Australia and internationally. The program includes a top quality line up of international and Australian speakers, a number of interactive panel discussions, a gala dinner and a visit to Stromlo Forest Park, a mecca for cycling in Canberra.
The Rail Trail Symposium
The Symposium on the Friday will cover issues dealing with the development, marketing, use and maintenance of Rail Trails with a particular emphasis on how NSW may progress with development of new trails
Registered delegates can choose between sessions for both events on the Friday.
Who Should Attend?
This a “must do” event for anyone with an interest in rail trails in Australia or in the rapidly developing world of cycle tourism. Academics, government agencies with tourism and cycling interests, business managers( already engaged or exploring opportunities), regional tourism agencies, consultants, professional and volunteer cycling organisations, rail trail advocates and operators and those with a general interest in rail trails and cycling tourism will benefit from the information sharing and networking opportunities.
