The High Country Rail Trail in north east Victoria got an early Christmas present towards the end of last year. The City of Wodonga upgraded the trail surface from Ludlows Reserve to Huon to the same high standard as Huon to Tallangatta so the entire trail now has a good quality surface.
Parklands Albury Wodonga has also been working hard on numerous projects including a 600m boardwalk across the Kiewa River flood plain near Wodonga, to make this section more resistant to flooding.
The Bonegilla and Tallangatta Rail Trail Advisory Groups invite you to celebrate these upgrades by taking part in a Twilight Ride along the High Country Rail Trail, ending with a picnic at Ludlows Reserve.
Saturday 20th Feb. Further details and registration at http://www.highcountryrailtrail.org.au/
Bookings essential.
