The recent fires in North East Victoria have not affected the rail trail, the facilities along the trail, or the quality of experience it offers. There has also been no direct impact on the beautiful towns and villages along the trail which includes Bright, Beechworth, Myrtleford and Wangaratta.
There is some smoke in and around the towns and throughout the region, and this is likely to clear with normal winds. Up to date information on the fires can be obtained from DSE website.
