A film to move hearts and minds
The Castlemaine Maryborough Rail Trail Inc (CMRT) have taken a visionary and courageous step to create a short film to bring the potential Castlemaine Maryborough Rail Trail ‘into the now’.
Using local filmmaker Mal Bloedel of Saint Street Production, five brilliant young actors and footage captured by local photographer Peter Watts the film is a very original and creative way to promote the possibilities of the potential 55km rail trail.
The film was actually produced by two of the CMRT members, Sandy Harman and Briele Hansen. The film can be viewed on the CMRT website and it will also feature at the local cinema in Castlemaine and possibly in Maryborough too. It is well worth having a look at – hearing and seeing how the young people visualise the potential rail trail is brilliant.
The film will assist the CMRT as they move into their next stage of advocacy with their fundraising campaign for the second stage of the trail. The feasibility study is also half way through its investigations and their website also has an update on positive findings up to now.
