Improvements being made to Atherton Tablelands Rail Trail
The Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads (DTMR) have been working on the 7km section of the Atherton Tablelands Rail Trail from Mareeba Airport to Walkamin.
They have done an amazing job at resurrecting that section for the benefit of the community. All cyclists and walkers will be grateful for these works once completed.
Interestingly all works have been funded by DTMR.

Its been a long time coming but we are super gratefull to have DTMR Qld. do the hard yards on the Atherton Tablelands Rail Trail. Well done Craig, David and team!
We now have a ridable 37km trail – with more to come in the future.
