Tour Down Under (TDU) takes place in and around Adelaide in January 2026. The following rail trails may be impacted to varying degrees by TDU.
Sat 17 January
Women’s Stage 1: loops in the McLaren Vale Willunga area including start and finish in Willunga. Expect increased cycle and pedestrian traffic on the Coast to Vines Rail Trail between McLaren Vale and Willunga.
Sat 24 January
Men’s Stage 4: loops in the McLaren Vale Willunga area including Willunga Hill. Expect increased cycle and pedestrian traffic on the Coast to Vines Rail Trail between McLaren Vale and Willunga.
Sun 18 January
Women’s Stage 2 will pass through Oakbank, Woodside and Mt Torrens. Expect increased cycle and pedestrian traffic between Oakbank and Mt Torrens.
Mon 19 January
Women’s Stage 3 will pass through Birdwood, Mt Torrens, Woodside and Oakbank. Expect increased cycle and pedestrian traffic between Birdwood and Oakbank.
Wed 21 January
Men’s Stage 1: loops between Tanunda, Lyndoch and Angaston. Tanunda’s main street hosts both start and finish and will be closed to traffic for much of the day. Expect increased cycle and pedestrian traffic between Tanunda, Lyndoch and Angaston, and spectators on the trail north and south of Tanunda. Trail may be blocked at Lyndoch with a sprint occurring here on lap 1.
Fri 23 January
Men’s Stage 3 starts at Henley Square at Henley Beach. Expect increased cycle and pedestrian traffic in the vicinity of Henley Square.
Sat 24 January
Men’s Stage 4 starts on The Esplanade at Brighton and travels south along the Esplanade. Expect increased cycle and pedestrian traffic in Brighton and spectators on the path south of Jetty Road.
