Register for news updatesGrand Opening of the South Burnett Rail Trail Sunday October 1st 2017
Big celebrations are being held along the entire 44km of the South Burnett Rail Trail.
Kingaroy from 6am
The celebration will start in Kingaroy with Lions Fundraiser Breakfast,arts and craft stalls at the Kingaroy station.(Cnr Haly and King St) with the official launch of the trail at 6.30 am.
Relay Baton
Official proceedings will comence in Kingaroy with Mayor Keith Campbell launching the South Burnett Rail Trail. The Mayor will pass through town to Commemorate this occasion. The official South Burnett Rail
Trail batton will be relayed along the trail by local running groups.
Wooroolin from 9am
Morning Tea will be avaiable to purchase in the CWA hall.(Alexander Street)
Wondai 11am~1pm Official Launch at 11.30am
The Wondai Art Gallery (Haly St.) will supply a BBQ Lunch,Toasties and Pancakes for a small fee.
Lots of entertainments planed for the Children
Murgon 8am~3pm Official Launch 2pm
Celebration will start at 8am with a 5km fun run,with Festivities continue throughout the day

*Pig RacesFood Stalls
*Jumping Castle
*Animial Show
*Children rides
WATER STATIONS will be available in each of the following towns along the rail trail,
KINGAROY CRAWFORD MEMERAMBI WOOROOLIN TINGOORA WONDAI MURGON
TRANSPORT
Bike Transport will leave MURGON at 5am Showgrounds tp arrive in Kingaroy for the 6am opening proceedings.
Transport will leave Kingaroy at 12noon and 3pm back to Murgon Booking MUST be made by contacting the Kingaroy Visitor Information Centre 07 4189 9172
A shuttle bus will run from Murgon to Kingaroy throughout the day For times drop into one of the Visitor Information Centre Kingaroy 4189 9172 Wondai 4189 9251 Murgon 4189 9387
Why not stay an extra day and ride the Kilkivan to Murgon Rail Trail.
