As part of the ‘Festival of the Hills’, the Adelaide Hills Council is pleased to announce ‘DISCOVER, PLAY, BIKEWAY’ a festival on a rail trail.
This is something quite unique – it is a great example of linking communities (and tourists) along a rail trail by holding a linear festival.
Discover the Amy Gillett Rail Trail like you’ve never seen it before, with an array of pop-up food, music, art, and performance options from Oakbank, to Woodside, to Charleston! Whether on wheels or by foot, the Bikeway is a perfect recreation trail, with up to 15km of flat, bituminised surface leading through picturesque towns, past iconic hills businesses and thriving wineries.
This trail is one of the Hills’ real gems but you don’t have to do it all – why not pick your preferred sections and tie in local towns and businesses for a cruisy day celebrating all the Hills have to offer.
