Rail Trail sites are good for community effort

The Rail Trail sites have been cited as a really good example of events (such as the National Tree Planing Day) being a community effort.
According to an article on the West Gippsland Catchment Management Authority website, kids planting trees in areas around the Gippsland Plains Rail Trail in Victoria “gets the kids onto the Rail Trail, meaning they will hopefully come back with their parents, but also just improving the Rail Trail for other users.
